Powder Massage (Udvartana)
In contrast to the nourishing oil massage, the powder massage reduces body tissue. Particularly
those places that have accumulated excessive pounds can be treated very intensively. The body is
oiled very lightly, the powder then spread on it and massaged. The effect is pleasantly
invigorating. There follows the same process as with Abhyanga, namely resting and showering.

Like the powder massage, the silk-glove massage is a stimulating massage. It is a dry massage in
which the body is massaged with a soft silk glove. It has an invigorating effect and is used as an
alternative to the powder massage.

Oil Massage (Abhyanga)
The body’s most important energy centres (chakras) are opened with a little warm oil, after which
the application of the medicated oils begins. Usually 2-3 different oils are used – one for the
scalp, a different one for the face and a third for the body. No point from the head to the toes
remains dry. The whole surface of the body is anointed with precious oils. Different pressures are
used during the massage. They are orientated towards the customer’s responsiveness. There follows a
rest phase and showering. The benefits of oil treatments of this type are manifold. The immense
revitalising effect of Abhyanga is indisputable.
